We had our ultrasound on Wednesday morning and found out that we were having a girl. (Click on the picture to enlarge) Megan and Isabelle were there and got to see the first pictures of their baby sister. She is measuring just right and everything looks good with an estimated weight of 14 ounces. We also got to see all four chambers of the heart beating away.
My next appointment is this Friday with a new doctor. My midwife for this pregnancy, who also delivered Isabelle, passed away last Friday night after a nine year battle with ovarian cancer. She caught her last baby on Thursday at 10:53 am, saw patients all day Thursday, and died on Friday at 10:54 pm. She took only a few breaks from work throughout her fight and would see patients a day or two after her chemo treatments. She had such an amazing outlook on life and I feel very lucky to have known her and that she was there to catch Isabelle.
